Reinforcement Mesh

Our specialization in the manufacturing of Reinforcement Mesh delivers products which are of superb quality. These products have a wide range of application in the field of construction. Reinforcement mesh fabric and reinforcement mesh are made in compliance with the Indian standards of quality.

We use steel rods, which are cold rolled for forming high tensile deformed wire that further welded into square or rectangular mesh grid. Adding reinforcement mesh has the benefit of improving strength and controlling cracking. The reinforcement mesh and mesh reinforcement fabric available in both rolls and sheets are manufactured in accordance with the standard specifications. This is used in the construction of concrete retaining walls, composite brick walls, suspended floor slab, foundations, drain, and culverts. Offered reinforcement mesh is manufactured at a high tensile strength which improves strength of the construction.
SPECIFICATIONS
STANDARD MESH FOR CONCRETE REINFORCEMENT

The production of mesh reinforcement complies to Indian standard. Mesh is produced from cold reduced deformed steel wires according to Indian standard.

(a) Mechanical Properties


. Specified characteristic strength: 460 N/mm
. Tensile Strength : min 510 N/mm. In addition either the tensile strength recorded in the tensile test shall be at least 5% greater than the recorded yield strength or alternatively the minimum elongation shall be not less than 12% measured on a gauge length of 5do.

. Shear strength of the weld: The shearing load required to produce failure of a welded intersection shall be not less than 0.25 A fy, where A is the nominal cross-sectional area of the smaller wire at the welded intersection and fy is the characteristic yield stress of the wire (460 N/mm).


(b) Chemical composition of steel

Carbon C: max 0.25% Sulphur S: max 0.060% Phosphorous P: max 0.060% Carbon Equivalent Value Ceq: max 0.42% Where Ceq = C + Mn/6 + (Cr+V+Mo)/5 + (Cu+Ni)/15

Note 7/5(): Mesh Type Q257 is produced with cross wires Y7/150mm. Longitudinal wires in the middle section of the sheet are again Y7/150mm, while in the marginal areas, on either side, the longitudinal wires are Y5/150mm (3 No Y5mm on each side). This is saving weight at the side overlapping areas.
